The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is an official English proficiency test recognised by Australian universities, colleges and the Australian Government. PTE provides an alternative English test for non‐native English speakers who require a recognised English proficiency assessment for tertiary study in Australia, future employment or for the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

The SACE PTE Academic Preparation course is a 20 hour per week course which provides students with an introduction and preparation for the PTE Academic examination. The course includes study of the four macro skills (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing) as relevant to this examination. The course also includes a study skill and examination practice component to assist students to practice and prepare for the PTE Academic examination.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
PTE Academic Preparation I (PTE 36, IELTS 5.0 or equivalent)
PTE Academic Preparation II (PTE 46, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent)

TIMETABLE
Monday to Friday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm / break / 7:15pm – 9:15pm

Course Levels 

On successful completion of the below levels, students should achieve:

PTE Academic Preparation I
– equivalent to PTE 46 or higher

PTE Academic Preparation II
– equivalent to PTE 54 to 61 or higher
